<p> 9/13/13 Dear Parents/Guardians,</p><p>I look forward to helping your child do as well as possible in the area of mathematics. In doing so I would like to make you aware of some helpful resources that are available to your child. </p><p>The first resource is the online edition of the textbook. In the event that your child needs to reference the book online they can do so through the following website: www.glencoe.com/ose . Your child must then enter the code BAC684ABE7 to access the online textbook. All pages are included in the online textbook including the Study Guide for each lesson which your child can refer to in preparing for a chapter test.</p><p>Another resource that the students can use to enhance their learning is the “Quick Pass” section of the Glencoe website. You can access this resource by visiting http://glencoe.com/, then in the lower right hand corner of the website locate the “Quick Pass” box. There you can enter the code MC0428c followed by the chapter number. For example to access Chapter 3 you would enter MC0428c3. The “0” in the code is a zero. This section of the website is great for extra practice examples, personal online tutoring, and preparation for tests and quizzes as well as several other resources that can help your child be the best math student he/she can be. </p><p>The students can also access the two workbooks we use, Skills Practice and Study Guide and Intervention and Practice, online. This option is helpful if a student misplaces their workbook(s) or forgets the workbook(s) at school. You can navigate the Glencoe Website or visit my teacher website to access the workbooks.</p><p>Students are also always able to take advantage of the Academic Support Lab. I extend an invitation to all students to attend Academic Support Lab to receive extra help on B days from 11:30 a.m. to 11:53 a.m. Additional extra help will be by appointment only. </p><p>Finally, students are encouraged to attend reviews prior to tests and quizzes. Reviews may not be held for every test or quiz. The date and time of each review will be announced in class and posted on the website a few days prior to the test or quiz.</p><p>All of this information including the directions to access the online resources and the codes necessary to utilize the Glencoe website are also located on my website.
