Members with rank higher than identified are eligible to apply, but may be required to take a reduction should they be selected. Personnel who are members or are eligible to become members of the Minnesota Army National Guard may apply. Priority will be given to current full-time Minnesota Army National Guard Soldiers (AGR, Technician, FTNGD/ADOS, T10). Soldier within the first 18 months of initial hire stabilization period must include an approved exception to policy with the application.</p><p>REMARKS: PCS Available. Acceptance of an AGR position will result in termination of Selected Reserve bonuses. EPS Control # 14-0086-E6. </p><p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of this position is to support the unit in meeting mission requirements by increasing the unit readiness by performing typing, clerical, personnel management, and administrative support to the unit of assignment. Provides administrative support for the unit of assignment. Must be able to type military and non- military correspondence, messages, orders, reports, forms, requisitions, directives, SOPs and similar material. Proof reads finished copy, corrects as necessary and assembles for review, signature, authentication, or other disposition. Maintains unit administrative functional files and data stores to include but not limited to the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) and Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS). Monitors the medical readiness status of the unit using the Medical Protection System (MEDPROS), processes all Line of Duties (LOD), INCAP (Incapacitation Pay), initiates medical board packets, maintains medical/dental records, and advises the commander on the units deployment readiness. Must be familiar with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and be HIPAA certified on an annual basis. Prepare/review of DA Form 1379 (Unit Record of Reserve Training). Responsible for preparation and submission of all payrolls, payroll inquiries, and incentive payments via the My Unit Pay and Guard Incentives Management System (GIMS) systems. Responsible for completion and submission of all required unit/individual personnel actions and financial records. Is responsible for the Retirement Point Accounting System (RCAS) for all Soldiers within the unit. Advises unit commander and other key personnel on current regulations and policies pertaining to the enlisted personnel management system. Completes cross training by becoming familiar with and occasionally performing duties of other full-time support positions assigned to the unit. Performs all other duties as assigned. Works under the supervision of the unit senior full-time support person of that unit to which assigned. Technical guidance is furnished by the administrative personnel at battalion level. Day-to-day work is performed without constant supervision consistent with established policies and mission priorities. Work is subject to review for acceptability and adherence to instructions and regulations.</p><p>LENGTH OF TOUR: 3 YEARS – Subject to program continuance; members successfully completing initial tour will be afforded priority for tour extension, after completing initial tour.</p><p>AGR PROGRAM BENEFITS: Salary is determined by military grade and time in service. Member is authorized Subsistence allowance, Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), thirty (30) days annual leave; medical and dental care. Must be a member or eligible to become a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard. Selected individual must extend/enlist for a period equal to the AGR tour. 2. Must meet medical standards prescribed by AR 40-501, Chapter 3 and physical standards prescribed by AR 600-9. Soldier must have a favorable Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) in accordance with (IAW) AR 40-501, chapter 3 conducted within 12 months prior to initial entry into the AGR Program. Soldier must have a Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) test within the last 6 months prior to initial entry into the AGR program IAW AR 600- 110. This examination is to be accomplished at an active military medical treatment facility, an ARNG medical unit, US Army Reserve medical units; or a civilian medical facility. 3. The individual must be eligible to complete a minimum of five (5) years in AGR status immediately prior to his/her mandatory separation date or prior to completing 18 years of Active Federal Service. 4. Individual must not be eligible for, nor receiving a federal military retired or retainer pay, nor federal service annuities. 5. Individual must possess or be able to obtain appropriate security clearance. 6. Must not be a candidate for elective office, holding a civil office (full or part-time), or engage in partisan political activities as defined by DoD Directive 5500.7, Joint Ethics Regulation. 7. Applicant selected will be subject to State Military Justice procedures/statutes and State Civil Laws/statutes, as appropriate, when serving under provisions of Title 32 U.S.C. 8. Applicant must meet other eligibility requirements for AGR service under the provisions of AR 135-18 and NGR 600-5 9. Individual maintain satisfactory membership in the MN ARNG to include adherence to APFT and the height/weight standards. 10.
