Architecture and Engineering 1 is a hands – on course that requires specific equipment and software that cannot be removed from the classroom. This means that there is rarely any homework, but it also means that most of the coursework has to be completed in the classroom. This makes attendance imperative. To emphasize this point, your student’s grade will be directly affected by an absence. The details are listed in the course syllabus.</p><p>I understand that there are times (emergencies, illness, etc.) that may cause a student to be absent and I allow my students time to make up missed work. However, if a student has excessive absences the class time may not be enough time and they may have to stay after school to make up this work. This semester, I will be staying late on Wednesdays for students who wish to make up work or receive extra help. If this does not work with your schedule, we can discuss meeting on another day.</p><p>It is the student’s responsibility to inquire about any missed work</p><p>For your student’s convenience, all assignments and due dates are posted in Google Classroom. All assignments are also posted in Power School. Again, it is the student’s responsibility to check Google Classroom and Power School frequently, if not daily, to keep up with their classwork. I encourage parents to check Power School as often as possible.
