Homework . Homework can earn 100% credit if completed before 1:00 a.m. on the Monday after the week it is assigned. (the last is due at time of exam) . The Web homework questions are based on exercises and problems at the end of the chapter. The sight is http://www.masteringphysics.com . A student access kit comes with each textbook; each has their own ID for the Web. Your CLASS ID is ###LLL, the 6-character alphanumeric ID you received the first lecture. . First time user: Follow the registering instructions for the class procedure. Go to our weekly assignments. The first assignment is mandatory to introduce you to the web system, it is not graded. . Late homework is accepted but at a reduced percentage. . Note approximately 50% of the questions have numerical values that have been "randomized" for each student. The laboratory part of this course is mandatory. . Please read the lab manual before each lab, there will be a quiz to help motivate you in doing this. . 70 of the 100 points for each lab are participation. 30 come from the 3 quiz questions. A list of 10 possible questions is included on this sight, from which the TA will pick 3 to ask. . 700 points {400 points} are possible for all of the labs, which corresponds to 15% of your final grade . If you know in advance you can’t make it to your assigned lab for a good reason, go to the physics office and convince them of this, and they can write a permission slip for another lab.
