Terms & conditions for exhibitors

Venue space is limited and therefore not all applications will be successful. Our venues are very varied and the number of places that we are able to offer in various categories of work is constrained by the suitability of some venues. Having exhibited before is not a criteria for automatic selection for subsequent events.

Our criteria for exhibiting at the Festival are:

1. Our catchment area for artists is between the Tyne and the Tweed. 2. We do not accept trade stands. 3. We do not accept stands from charities; however artists may donate their takings to charity 4. All work on display and for sale must be the work of the exhibiting artist or craft-worker. Prints of paintings are acceptable providing they are accompanied by some original work. 5. Artists may share a stand, provided that all exhibitors meet our criteria, but must be aware that their combined display must fit on one 6’x3’ table and the area immediately behind it. They will have a single entry in the venue guide. 6. We have a limited number of venues with hanging facilities and cannot guarantee to meet all requests for these facilities. Artists are welcome to bring their own display equipment providing it fits in their allocated space. 7. Our charge for the event is £50 for an exhibition space plus 10% commission on all sales.
