<p> GAELIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION BOSTON NORTHEAST DIVISIONAL BOARD REMEMBERS 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE EASTER UPRISING The Boston Northeast Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association will commemorate the Anniversary of the 1916 Easter Uprising through its Youth by establishing scholarships to be awarded in three different age groups for both boys and girls. Eleven scholarships totaling $3,000 will be awarded.</p><p>Age Groups & Awards is as follows: 18 years old and under: $1,000 Ages 15 – 18 years old 1st $500 2nd $300 3rd $200</p><p>14 years old and under: $1,000 Ages 11 – 14 years old 1st $500 2nd $300 3rd $200</p><p>10 years old and under: $1,000 Ages 7 - 10 years old 5 - $200 scholarships will be awarded </p><p>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Currently registered youth player of the Boston Northeast Divisional Youth Board - Registration will be confirmed </p><p>APPLICATION MATERIALS: - Submit Application - Report should not be more than 10 pages </p><p>- Present a report on nationalism over the last 100 years from 1916 to 2016 in Ireland. What were the causes of the Easter Rising and how did it affect immigration in Ireland and the United States? What was the impact on the G.A.A?</p><p>All applications must be submitted to the Boston Northeast Board and received by midnight on June 16, 2016 to [email protected].</p><p>Reports will be judged and graded on presentation and accuracy by independent teachers and people who have full knowledge of the historical significance of the 1916 Easter Uprising and how it affected the G.A.A. and the growth of the G.A.A.</p><p>Winners announced on July 4, 2016</p><p>Good Luck to all of the Northeast G.A.A.
