<p>Problem</p><p>Soildata.exe can't send soil sample data after McAfee Anti-Virus version 8 is installed.</p><p>Solution</p><p>Open McAfee's console by right-clicking on the shield icon in the lower right-hand side of the screen and selecting 'VirusScan Console…" or go to Start and select Programs/Network Associates/VirusScan Console. Next, double-click on the 'stop-light' icon to open the "Access Protection" window. Then, double-click on the first rule, "Prevent mass mailing worms form sending mail" and the port blocking window will open.</p><p>Now, add "soildata.exe" the "Excluded Processes" list at the bottom of the page. Now, click on the "OK' button to save the changes on this window and the previous one and Soildata will start working again.</p>
