<p> MEET THE TEACHER</p><p>Hi! My name is Ms. Grimes and I am so excited to be part of the fourth grade team again! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. Some of you already know me since I taught you last year. For the new students, I want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.</p><p>I was born in Dallas, Texas but raised in Ennis, Texas and I am the youngest of four. I attended Texas A&M University-Commerce receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2007. </p><p>I taught fourth grade for 5 years here at Moates Elementary. I’ve also taught 3rd grade for the last three years. This will be my 9th year as a teacher and I will once again teach fourth grade. This year, Desoto ISD will be departmentalized and I will be teaching English/Language Arts/Social Studies. </p><p>I have two children, Landon, who is an 8th grader at McCown M.S. and Kenya who attends Texas Women’s University. They are so much fun and they keep me on my toes at all times. I love them so much! </p><p>I am so excited to be your teacher. Let’s make this another great year!
