<p> Scholarship Matters: 2013 UNI Symposium on Research and Creative Activity</p><p>Revised Schedule</p><p>Open All Day Poster & Display Hall Ballroom A 7:30-8:30 Registration Ballroom Lobby 8:30-8:45 Welcome Ballrooms B and C 8:45-10:00 Keynote Panel Ballrooms B and C 10:00-11:45 Poster and Performance Session Ballroom A 11:45-12:00 Lunch Buffet Line 12:00-1:15 Luncheon Ballrooms B and C 1:45-3:05 Breakout Session I Individual Offices 3:15-4:15 Breakout Session II Individual Offices 4:15-4:45 Large group discussion Individual Offices</p><p>Technology Instructions</p><p>Listen Remotely to Keynote Session Anyone on campus may log in to Adobe Connect from 8:30-10:00 am to hear the Welcome and Keynote in real-time. </p><p>Log in and Provide Commentary Throughout the Day Throughout the day (8:30am-4:15pm), anyone may log in to Adobe Connect and share questions and comments with the presenters. A moderator will post the comments shared on a screen in the Ballrooms through lunch, and then provide them all to the presenters prior to the 4:15 final discussion session. The presenters use these to guide discussion during the final wrap-up session at 4:15-4:45 pm.</p><p>NOTE: If you are present in the ballroom and log in to Adobe Connect on a local device, you must Mute Your Device or the sound will disrupt the session! </p><p>Attend Virtual Breakouts and Final Discussion Session from your own computer</p><p>Breakout Session I (revised time: 1:45 pm-3:05 pm – LOG IN starting at 1:30 pm) Breakout options will be: 1) “Defining Scholarship” led by Andrew Adams & Laura Cruz, or 3) “The Teacher-Scholar Model” led by Windy Gordon.</p><p>From your office computer, log in to Adobe Connect as shown below between 1:30-1:45 pm. Laura Cruz, lead presenter from Western Carolina University, will welcome you and ask you to indicate by “raising your hand” which of the two break-outs you would like to attend and assign you to a virtual break-out “room” accordingly. At the end of your break-out session at 3:05 pm, you will be moved back into the main “room”. You may then choose to leave/log off or wait until Session 2 begins in 10 minutes. Breakout Session II (revised time: 3:15-4:15 pm – LOG IN starting at 3:05 pm) Breakout options will be: 2) “Assessing Scholarship” led by Robert Crow, or 4) “Minding your P’s and Q’s” (on Portfolios) led by Hollye Moss.</p><p>From your office computer, log in to Adobe Connect as shown below, unless you already have done so. Laura Cruz, lead presenter from Western Carolina University, will welcome you and ask you to indicate by “raising your hand” which of the two Session 2 break-outs you would like to attend and assign you to a virtual break-out “room” accordingly. At the end of your break-out session at 4:15 pm, you will be moved back into the main “room”. Click the “Enter as a Guest” circle, and type your name (or “anonymous” if you do not want to be identified) in the box to the left of the word “name.” </p><p>4. Click the “Enter Room” box.</p><p>To enter a comment/question: </p><p>1. Click the textbox at the bottom of the “Chat” window at the center of the left side of the Adobe Connect screen. 2. Click the button to submit your comment/question(s).</p>
