<p> News Release</p><p>Date: May 22, 2013 For verification, pls contact LWUA-PAD @ 02-9265665</p><p>LWUA, PAWD, NCAC SIGN MOA ON WATER CONSUMER WELFARE AND PROTECTION</p><p>The National Consumer Affairs Council (NCAC) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) and the Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD) that is aimed at promoting the rights and welfare of water service users nationwide through sustained consumer education and training on customer service for water utilities. The tripartite MOA signing was held last Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the residence of NCAC vice chairperson Marie Grace Bernadette P. Chua at the La Vista Subdivision in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Main signatories included NCAC Chairman Jose P. Pepito, LWUA Administrator Eduardo C. Santos and PAWD president Alfredo Silva of the Dasmarinas Water District with PAWD executive board member Hermogenes Ilagan of Lipa City Water District, NCAC vice chair Chua and LWUA Public Affairs Department manager Atty. Venus M. Pozon as witnesses. </p>
