<p> POSITION DESCRIPTION</p><p>Job Title Tech 1 Level 1- Brazer Department Production Reports to Production Leader FLSA Status Non-Exempt</p><p>Job Summary: Responsible for installation and brazing of copper tubing in HVAC units.</p><p>Essential Responsibilities: </p><p> Responsible for soldering and piecing copper.  Places and brazes parts into compressors within units.  Pulls all copper through units according to features of the unit.  May be responsible for cutting pieces and placing them together.  Ensures duties are completed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with quality standards and engineering specifications.  Demonstrated knowledge of the workings of hand and power tools. </p><p>Minimum Requirements:  Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent  Previous industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry preferred.  Previous experience utilizing a brazing torch preferred. </p><p>Essential Mental Functions:  Ability to memorize process for piecing copper.  Braze copper tubing.  Maintain a safe and productive work environment.</p><p>Essential Physical Functions:  Ability to communicate effectively using both verbal and written communication skills.  Coordinate with supervisors to keep work progressing.  Lift up to 50 pounds.  Set a good example of good attendance, productivity and quality of work.  Stand for up to 95 per cent of the shift.  Work in conditions below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees on occasion.</p><p>Revised, October 2014 Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
