<p>BIO373L Using a Hobo Data Logger Gilbert/Plowes</p><p>Programming HOBO</p><p>1) plug-in the Hobo to the adapter connected to the computer</p><p>2) open Boxcar Pro program on the desktop</p><p>3) open Logger menu and select “Launch”; choose desired settings (time interval, channels, time delay). Remember to give the Hobo a distinctive Name.</p><p>4) click “Launch” to program Hobo. Once the upload is complete, disconnect the Hobo and check that the led is flashing slowly.</p><p>5) you’re good to go</p><p>Downloading data from HOBO</p><p>1) plug in Hobo to adaptor connected to the computer</p><p>2) open Boxcar Pro program on desktop</p><p>3) open Logger menu and select “Readout”</p><p>4) A window will appear showing a figure (most likely of temperature). To view another climatic variable (such as RH, Temp C, external probe temp., etc…), click the left-most box above the figure.</p><p>5) Open File menu and select “Export as text.” Give your file a name and have it saved to the desktop.</p><p>6) Open MS Excel</p><p>7) Open the File menu and select “Open”; then specify your text file that is saved on the desktop.</p><p>8) Select “Finish” and your data should appear in an excel spreadsheet</p>
