<p> AAGG GENEALOGY RESEARCH TRIP TO LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA, RICHMOND, VA DECEMBER 15-16, 2017</p><p>TRIP INFO </p><p>AAGG States Group is sponsoring a trip to the Library of Virginia. Seats are limited and on a First Come, First Serve basis. Transportation cost must be paid by December 12th. </p><p>PARKING INFO: . You may park your car at the Target parking lot (near the wall) 4000 Monument Road Philadelphia, PA 19131 . Mall Management will be notified . Please arrive between 8:30 AM -8:45 AM</p><p>TENTATIVE TRIP ITINERARY: . December 15, 2017 o Depart Target parking lot at 9:00AM for Library of Virginia 800 East Broad Street Richmond, Virginia 23219- 8000 (804) 692 – 3504 o Arrive at Library of Virginia </p><p>. December 16, 2017 o Research at Library o Return trip home</p><p>COST OF TRIP: . Transportation costs - $40 per person (includes round trip, van rental, & gas) . Hotel costs – $60 for one night, includes continental breakfast o Rooms will be reserved at the Quality Inn 8008 West Broad St Richmond, VA . The hotel is approximately a 20-minute drive to the Library of Virginia</p><p>ADDITIONAL TRIP INFORMATION:</p><p>Registration at the Library of Virginia-</p><p>Researchers must be 16 years of age or older or accompanied by a parent, teacher, or guardian. In order to use the collections, new researchers are required to complete a registration form and present picture identification and proof of current address that will be photocopied by the staff. Registration is updated annually. </p><p>All researchers are required to sign the register daily. </p><p>To maintain security of Virginia’s irreplaceable documentary heritage, personal items such as outer coats, bags, briefcases, purses, waist packs, backpacks, computer cases, packages, clipboards, notebooks in covers, bound or spiral notebooks, bound pads of paper, portfolios, folders, and envelopes are not permitted at the tables in the research rooms. Small lockers and designated shelves are available for storing these items. No food, chewing gum, cough drops, mints, beverage items, or containers are permitted in the reading rooms. Only pencils, unbound note paper, index cards, portable computers, and loose research notes are allowed at the work tables. The staff will provide pencils and scratch paper upon request. </p>
