<p>Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon E-News for Wednesday April 16th 2014</p><p>This issue: </p><p>Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund TIA Spring Conference Small Vehicle Operator Proficiency Course Yukon Wild Membership Tourism Business for Sale</p><p>Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund</p><p>As the Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund (TCMF) was wait-listed in the 2013/2014 fiscal year, TIA Yukon would like to encourage operators to apply early to ensure funding is set aside for their projects in the 2014/2015 fiscal year. Online registration closes on Friday April 17th, at 5pm so if you have not yet registered, be sure to do so.</p><p>For more information, and to register, please go to TIA’s webpage.</p><p>Small Vehicle Operator Proficiency Course</p><p>WTAY is looking into the possibility of hosting another SVOP Course. This course is now a legal requirement from Transport Canada, for anyone transporting more than 6 clients in a boat. However, to offer this course in Yukon is expensive as instructors must be brought up from BC. Therefore I am looking for expressions of interest from you. If you have staff that require this training, and would be interested in sending them on the course, please let me know how many people you would sign up, and which season would be best (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter).
