<p> Application for The Friends of Philosophy Scholarship</p><p>The Friends of SHPRS Scholarships are annual scholarships awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student who has chosen to major in philosophy. Consideration is given to academic merit and to the student’s commitment to the field of philosophy. A minimum ABOR high school GPA or cumulative transfer GPA of 3.00 and declaration of a BA in Philosophy in the School of Historical, Philosophical & Religious Studies is required for consideration. The funds are disbursed in the spring semester and the recipient must still be a philosophy major to receive them. </p><p>With your application, please submit a short essay (250 words maximum) about why you chose your major.
