If the Start point was changed to April 6th – the chart would look like this …</p><p> 4 WEEK & 4/4/5 WEEK OPTIONS ADDED TO RESOURCE REPORTS</p><p>When specifying a Resource Report, the options on a report on the ADVANCED button – now include these options for Headings for Resource data section (eg Usage or Histogram). LINKING ACROSS FILES</p><p>This allows you to link one task in one file to another task in another file. </p><p>Open the file that it is linking into. </p><p>Highlight one ID number for an individual task (this task will be the TO bar in the link … ie the bar receiving the link . Then right mouse click to display window below ..</p><p>Then click on BROWSE and choose the File from where the link is to be sourced from (ie. the Predecessor). Then highlight only one of the tasks….</p><p>This will establish a Finish to Start link with the previous file.</p><p>Then click on the LINK button at the bottom.</p><p>Note. A positive or negative Lag can be added to the Finish to Start link.</p><p>The cross file link is shown as a black bar and if you double click on the Name cell – it will show the Properties of the link and where the link came from (ie the Prede- cessor). If you open the Predecessor file it will show the Successor link going out into the other file.</p><p>If the first file has been changed – then when you open the second file – the system will indicate there will be a need to update the schedule in the second file. DRAG AND DROP TASKS</p><p>This allows you to move a task to another row.</p><p>Hover over the ID number and the cursor will change to a Right Arrow. Then click on the ID number and the Arrow changes to an UP& DOWN Arrow. </p><p>Then hold left hand mouse button down and move the cursor to the row. The task will be copied into the row below the highlighted one.</p><p>You can move a block of bars by highlighting more than one on the ID numbers.</p><p>Important ….</p><p>The operation acts similar to a cut and paste. Any links on the bar/s moved are deleted and also if you drop the task into a summary structure – the task/s might be put into the wrong levels. Improvements</p><p> Files saved with Task List.</p><p>View menu, Task List - Files will open with Task List if it was last saved with it open.</p><p> Week commencing Sunday</p><p>The Sunday option is changed by using the CUSTOM tab on the Timescale (BARCHART | VIEW | FORMAT TIMESCALE) and changing the LABEL drop down on the WEEKS heading as below…….</p><p>The default is based on Monday as the week commencing date. </p><p> Resource Assignment default changed to FIXED from RESOURCE DRIVEN.</p>
