<p> CHRISTMAS STORY.</p><p>Characters: King Snow Queen Queen Old man Princess Rabbit Maid Kitten Gnome Scene 1. Gnome: Once upon a time there lived a princess who was very rude. (The king comes into the room and the maid gives him his breakfast.) Maid: Good morning, your Majesty! A cup of tea? A toast with jam? King: Thank you but jam is not good for me. I’ve got a headache. Maid: Take some pills and here is warm milk with honey. King: Thank you but where is the Queen? Queen: I am here. Good morning. King: Good morning, dear. How are you? Queen: I am fine, thank you. And you? King: Oh, I am not fine. I am sad and angry. Queen: Sad and angry? But why? King: I am thinking about our daughter. She is very rude. Queen: You are right. She isn't polite with people, I don't like it. King: And she doesn't listen to us, her parents. Queen: No, she doesn't. Maid: Here is your tea, your Majesty. Queen: Thank you.</p><p>Princess: I am hungry, I want to eat. King: Why don't you say "good morning" to your mom and dad? Princess: I don't like to speak when I am hungry. Maid: An egg? Princess: No eggs, give me jam, chocolate, sweets, lollypops and ice cream quickly. And I am thirsty! Maid: What about a cup of tea? Princess: No! I want juice! Now! Maid: Just a minute, your Majesty. Princess: You are like a snail! King and Queen: Oh, no! King: You are very rude, my dear. Queen: And you can’t eat sweets all the time. Princess: Yes, I can! Yes, I can! King: How bad! Queen: How terrible! Scene 2 (Somebody knocks) Snow queen: Open the door, please? Open the door, do you hear? ( The Princess opens the door) Princess: What do you want here? Snow queen: Let me in, dear girl! I'm cold and hungry. Princess: Let you in? Go away, old witch! There is no place for you here! Snow queen: How bad you are! I'll teach you a lesson. Princess: Ha-ha-ha. Who are you to teach me? Snow queen: One, two, three, you are a snowman now. Your heart is as cold as ice.</p><p>Scene 3. King: Oh, where is our princess? Where is our girl? If you find her, you'll get the prize. Queen: Oh, my dear girl! (cries) King: Don't cry, she'll come back. Queen: It's Christmas Eve, I have some presents for my dear girl. Where is she? Oh, where? Scene 4. Rabbit: I am so hungry, I want something to eat. It's cold and I haven't got anything! Princess: Take my nose. It's a carrot. Rabbit: Oh, no. I can't do that. Princess: But it's my Christmas present for you. Rabbit: Thank you, it’s yummy and sweet. Gnome: (makes notes in his notebook) She is giving her nose to the hungry Rabbit. Scene 5. Kitten: My house is on fire. Help! Help! Snowman: Can I help you? Kitten: May I take your bucket? I'll bring water with it. Snowman: Oh, yes, take it quickly. Kitten: Thank you, snowman. Snowman: Run, little kitten. I am happy that I can help you. Gnome: (making notes) A bucket to the Kitten. Scene 6. Old man: I lost my broom. The queen is angry with me for that. (He is crying) Snowman: Don't cry, old man. Take my broom. Old man: Your broom? Snowman: Yes, it's good but I don't need it at all. Old man: Oh, what a good broom. Thank you, you have a kind heart. Gnome: (making note) A broom to the old man. She has a kind heart.</p><p>Scene 7. Snow queen: Who has a kind heart? Snowman: It's me. I am sorry, I want to be princess again. Gnome: She is really kind, Snow queen. Snow queen: Kind? No, she is not. Gnome: She helps others. (to Rabbit, Kitten and Old Man) Come here! Rabbit: It’s her carrot. Kitten: And this is her bucket. Old Man: And I’ve got her broom. Snow queen: All right, but here is a test for you. Gnome, give her a bag of sweets. You like them! Eat them! Snowman: Yes, but it's Christmas Eve and I want to share with children. Snow queen: Look, you are Princess again. Gnome: Merry Christmas, everyone. All together: Merry Christmas!</p>
