<p> Creating a Live ID to contribute to a SOM Extranet Team Site</p><p>1) Go to https://login.live.com and click the Sign Up button. (If you already have a @hotmail.com or @live.com account, skip to step 3 )</p><p>2) Fill in all the information required. You can also tie the Live ID to an existing email account (ex. [email protected]). Or click on the “Or get new email address” </p><p>It does not matter if you pick @hotmail.com, @live.com or @Outlook.com</p><p>If you pick an existing email account, all site communications will go to that account and you will use that account to log in.</p><p>If your existing email account is already used to access Office 365 (your companies tenant for example), you will not be able to use that account to access the SOM Office 365 tenant.</p><p>3) Once the account is setup, send an email to one of the extranet site owners, with the account name (full account name –ex. [email protected])</p><p>Please make sure if you created a new Live account that you validate the account before sending an email to one of the site owners.</p><p>4) Once they’ve added your live account to the extranet site, you’ll receive a confirmation email from the Team Site. The email will come to the email account provided to the Site Owners, ie the email will come to [email protected] if that was supplied. 5) Click on the ‘Accept your invitation!’ button to be re-directed to the pre-login page for Office 365.</p><p>6) Since you will not have a SOM organizational account, click on the ‘Microsoft account’. Enter your Live ID and password on the next page.</p><p>7) You should then be directed to the site.</p>
