If you would like to nominate a classified employee, please see the selection criteria below and complete a nomination form describing this employee’s outstanding service and commitment to students and other employees. Nomination forms are available at your site / department office or in the Human Resources department. Minimum Qualifications – 1) Current classified employee (preschool through grade twelve) 2) Minimum of five (5) years of service in nomination category</p><p>Nomination Categories – Nominations will be accepted for staff in the following six categories: Child Nutrition: work must be directly related to food handling and/or preparation. Examples: cook, cafeteria worker. Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities: work must be directly related to maintenance or operations services. Examples: technology support, custodian, electrician, carpenter, groundskeeper, mechanic. Office and Technical: work must be directly related to clerical, secretarial, or technological duties. Examples: accountant, network engineer, programmer, secretary, attendance clerk. Para-Educator and Instructional Assistance: work must provide direct instructional services to students. Examples: classroom assistant, instructional aide, library assistant. Support Services and Security: work must be directly related to security of students and/or property or work which has duties that are not covered under any of the other categories. Examples: campus security monitor, health aide. Transportation: work must be directly related to student transportation.
