<p> 02.26.2014</p><p>Accounts Payable Remittance Formatting Instructions for Excel</p><p>Raley’s remittance advices are provided in a readable PDF format which allows you to copy into Excel. From Excel you can then use “text to columns” to format the data. More detailed instructions are below.</p><p>1. Open your email from [email protected].</p><p>2. Download your attachment directly from the email- Do not save it yet if you are going to do so. (You may save this document to your computer after you have completed all of these steps- We have found that copy and paste functionality does not work properly with all computer systems when the file is saved and reopened.)</p><p>3. Position your curser in the upper corner of the box beginning with the first line item and highlight the text you wish you paste into excel.</p><p>4. Copy the lines you highlighted.</p><p>5. Open Excel and paste these items into cell A1. It will look like this: 6. Highlight column A by clicking on the “A”.</p><p>7. Go to the “Data” menu and select “Text to Columns.”</p><p>8. Select “Delimited” on step 1 of 3. Press “Next”.</p><p>9. Select “Space” on step 2 of 3. Press “Next” again. 10. Select “Finish” on step 3 of 3. Your document will look like this:</p><p>At this point you may save your original document if desired. Your PDF has been converted to an easy to manipulate Excel file.
