
<p> How to Tell if an Annual IEP Goal is Complete</p><p>Read the goal and answer the following questions. The answer must be yes to all of the questions except #3, for the goal to be in compliance.</p><p>1. Is the goal related to a need identified in the Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance?</p><p>2. Is the goal written using a description of an observable behavior?</p><p>3. Does the goal indicate a condition? (this is optional)</p><p>4. Does the goal specify the baseline performance of the skill in quantifiable terms?</p><p>5. Does the goal specify the criteria in quantifiable terms? </p><p>6. Does the goal specify the staff position responsible for evaluating and reporting progress?</p><p>7. Does the goal specify how the goal will be measured?</p><p>8. Does it specify how often the goal results will be assessed and reported to parents?</p><p>9. Is there alignment with the grade level standard?</p><p>IEP’s for students taking AIMS-A</p><p>1. All of the above applies to writing a goal for a student taking AIM-A</p><p>2. Is the goal based on the Alternate Content Standards?</p><p>3. Does the goal have its own individual measurement criteria separate from objectives? (it cannot be met by meeting the objectives)</p><p>4. Are there at least two objectives?</p><p>5. Do the objectives have an observable behavior?</p><p>6. Do the objectives specify the expected criteria in quantifiable terms?</p><p>7. Do the objectives specify the evaluation method?</p>
