They will be circulated to UCML’s membership with the ballot paper)</p><p>I have wide experience representing my subject and modern languages in general, having been chair of UCML Scotland, as well as a member of the executive committee of AHGBI for several years, with special responsibility for postgraduate matters. I have extensive experience too of working with national bodies, as a several-times panel member and now strategic reviewer for the AHRC, a REF sub-panellist, and in dealing with the funding council as well as schools sector in my previous UCML role. I have worked with LLAS in the past as a member of the LLAS Advisory Board in Scotland, and with schools through the Scottish Association of Language Teachers. In recognition of my work with Spanish culture, I have been named an Oficial de la Orden de Isabel la Católica. I have wide administrative experience in Higher Education, for example as a former Head of School. </p>
