PROPOSED MOBILITY PROGRAMME</p><p>Language of training: English</p><p>Overall objectives of the mobility:</p><p>The mobility is planned in the framework of the implementation of the international relations between the staff member from thesending university and the hosting institution, the University of Bologna. The mobility will allow the staff member to attend the International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL which has been conceived as a forum to discuss general issues facing Higher Education today in a globalized world.</p><p>The overall objectives of the mobility for the participating staff member, in connection with the general objectives of the MAKE IT GLOBAL training event, are:</p><p>-To provide the participant with an innovative training experience focusing on the international dimension of higher education, in order to increase the participant’s knowledge of tools and methods, competences and skills to implement, strenghten and modernize the internationalisation component of his/her institutional strategy;</p><p>-To foster cooperation between the participant’s HEI and UNIBO on the one side an across different regions on the other side, through the creation of a community of practice;</p><p>-To set the foundation for longer term cooperation based on a shared vision for internarionalisation of learning and teaching, aimed at buidling cross-border bridges for collaboration and interaction among professionals of internationational relations in higher education. - To jointly reflect upon the outcomes of the Erasmus+ ICM with partner countries after almost two years since its launch and bring into discussion the impact of this new mobility schemes on the different Higher Education models. To jointly identify strategies, practices and procedures to improve the general management of the Erasmus +mobility and to design innovative exchange schemes.</p><p>Added value of the mobility (in the context of the modernisation and internationalisation strategies of the institutions involved):</p><p>The International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL will bring together around 20-25 representatives of several universities from different regions of the world (Asia, Africa, Western Balkans). On top of that, the international relations officers of the two UNIBO units dealing with relations with non-EU countries will be directly involved in the training event, together with UNIBO academic staff active in international projects and experts in tools and practices for internationalisation of teaching and learning. </p><p>The added value of this mobility is related to the highly internationalised spirit of the training event, which will expose all participants to international networking opportunities, providing occasions to increase one’s understanding and responsiveness to linguistic and cultural diversity, to improved competences linked</p><p>2 GfNA-II-C-Annex-IV-Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility Agreement for training – 2015</p><p> to each participant’s professional profile, and better awareness of EU funded opportunities for cooperation between European and non European universities.</p><p>Activities to be carried out:</p><p>Participation in the International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL: exchange of experiences, analysis of good practices, study of cases and discussion of examples on the international dimension in higher education, including mobility programs, international student services, international cooperation and project management.</p><p>Attendance of interactive sessions, contribution to workshops and round table discussions according to the following workprogramme:</p><p>-Virtual tour to the participating universities with a focus on the international dimension;</p><p>-How universities envisage and design their international dimension/profile: different approaches in strategic planning for international relations; -University of Bologna policies for multilingualism and interculturality;</p><p>-How to internationalize the academic offer: International degree programs, double/joint degree programs/ Erasmus Mundus degree programs;</p><p>-Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility: Program features, Pros and Cons based on practical experience so far.</p><p>Expected outcomes and impact (e.g. on the professional development of the staff member and on both institutions):</p><p>Through the active participation in the International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL, the mobility activity is meant to produce the following outcomes on the participants:</p><p>-broader understanding of practices, policies and systems concerning the international dimension of higher education, with a special focus on inter-university cooperation between EU and non-EU universities;</p><p>-increased capacity to contribute, through personal expertise and know how, to modernisation and international opening within the staff member’s educational organisations; </p><p>-deeper understanding of tools and methodologies supporting the internationalization of the learning and teaching dimension;</p><p>-better quality of the staff member’s work and activities in favour of students and staff, with a special focus on internationally mobile students and staff.</p><p>The above listed outcomes are intended to have a positive impact on both the sending and hosting institutions, first of all through the development of a multilateral forum of practicioners with regard to the management of international relations in the higher education sector involving all the participants in the International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL. Besides, also bilateral relations between the staff member’s sending institution and the hosting institution would benefit from the mobility in the framework of both the current bilateral cooperation activities and additional joint initiatives that could be developed in the long term case by case. As</p><p>3 GfNA-II-C-Annex-IV-Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility Agreement for training – 2015</p><p> a matter of fact, the intensive face-to-face working sessions scheduled in the International Staff Week MAKE IT GLOBAL will lead both the participants and hosts to acquire a better understanding of practices and processes implemented by each partner institution in terms of continuous improvement of the institutional international dimension. This will be a win-win situation where both the staff member participanting in the event and the staff hosting the event will be exposed to examples and tested innovative experiences to implement the internationalisation strategies of their own institution. II. COMMITMENT OF THE THREE PARTIES</p><p>6 By signing this document, the staff member, the sending institution and the receiving institution/enterprise confirm that they approve the proposed mobility agreement. The sending higher education institution supports the staff mobility as part of its modernisation and internationalisation strategy and will recognise it as a component in any evaluation or assessment of the staff member. The staff member will share his/her experience, in particular its impact on his/her professional development and on the sending higher education institution, as a source of inspiration to others. The staff member and the sending institution commit to the requirements set out in the grant agreement signed between them. The staff member and the receiving institution/enterprise will communicate to the sending institution any problems or changes regarding the proposed mobility programme or mobility period.
