
<p> N25 Med-Surg Make-up assignment: options</p><p>Student Name ______due date: </p><p>Make up assignment- all reports must be well written and typed One assignment for clinical absence ~ 4-6 hours outside work. Each additional absence add 6 hours work. Instructions: Choose one of the assignments below. Circle the number indicating which assignment you choose, and write a comment in the space about the topic you choose. Put a reasonable date in the “due date” section above indicating when you will turn this in, and give or send (as an attachment) this form to your clinical instructor.</p><p>1. Post-conference presentation: present a topic to your clinical group. The topic and length is per a conversation with your clinical instructor.</p><p>2. Write a report about a topic of your choice. a. This could be a specific disease topic that interests you, or may be something about the RN professional role in the hospital setting – ethical issues, changes in practice, etc. Include how this new information affects or changes you as a nurse. The topic should be approved by your clinical instructor prior to writing. b. Must be in depth, 3-4 pages.</p><p>3. Virtual CD-DVDs in the Nursing Lab a. Spend a total of 6 hours using the virtual clinical cds and workbook. This would require you to: i. Choose an appropriate “patient” from the Black, Hawks, et .al Med-Surg VCE, and fill out the questions. This should be done at a depth that would equal a pathophysiology that would be turned in with a hospital patient. ii. Produce a nursing care plan at usual depth of level 2.</p><p>4. Attend an approved Nursing CE class a. Class should be minimum of 4 hours b.
