Ag Week-April 12-17 o Team with ACT with farmers breakfast: more information will be available soon Meet Your Members-Emma Hopkins, [email protected] It will consist of a questionnaire for a member that is new this semester and a member that has been in the club in past semesters. o Holly Kyler o Chris Bueckers</p><p>Old Business: </p><p>Crops, Forestry, and Entomology Career Development Event - held on December 13 Worked with the entomology contest Made sure everyone was looking at their own specimen Was lots of fun </p><p>Social Events – Jeff Koberstein, [email protected] Dirty Santa Report o Happened at the last meeting: the dirty Santa gift exchange was very fun. Intramurals: Wallyball o Volleyball played off the walls in the racquetball room o Tuesdays 11:15 pm . No experience required o If you need help signing up, let Jeff or Alyssa know</p><p>New Business:</p><p>Collegiate 4-H National Conference- Emma Hopkins, [email protected] Thursday, March 12-Sunday March 15th in Gainesville, FL o Costs $127 per person excluding transportation . Meals and hotels are covered by this amount o Transportation: amount will vary depending on how many come</p><p> www.four-h.purdue.edu/collegiate4h o Club oftentimes helps pay for these fees o Grants are sometimes available as well University of Florida Collegiate 4-H Activities will include exploring the university, doing service projects, enhancing communication and building relationships among members If interested please see Emma after the meeting or email her</p><p>Murdock After School program - Maddi McFadden ([email protected]) and Jessie Earhart ([email protected]) We go to Murdock every Thursday: Leave at 2:40 pm, return at 4:00 pm Might move to Tuesdays, will be determined within the next week Transportation is provided Email Jessie or Maddie if you are interested in helping next week</p><p>Officer Trainings-Cassie Lehmann [email protected] Involves educating 4-Hers about how to run meetings, playing games, and breaking into sessions on individual officer trainings Questions: email Cassie Thursday, January 29th, 5:30 p.m. – Jasper County o Car is now full Thursday, February 5th 6:45 p.m. – LaPorte County o 2 spots left in the car Wednesday, February 11th – Vigo County o 4 spots left in the car Wednesday, March 4th: Boone County leave at 5:30pm o 4 spots left in the car Sign up on doodle poll: http://doodle.com/zsiv423kfbn8bh6g</p><p> Achievement trip: This trip will be a fun end of the year reward trip for members who meet certain criteria. o Date has been changed to April 26th</p><p> o Qualifying: To qualify a member must volunteer for either:</p><p>. Two officer trainings</p><p>. Two Murdock after school sessions</p><p>. One officer training and one Murdock session</p><p> o Activity will be decided at a later time</p><p>Dairy Foods and Meats Career Development Events-Steve McKinley Saturday, January 31st, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Food Science Bldg (NLSN 1137 – pilot lab) Aaron Fisher ([email protected]) and Tony Carrell ([email protected]) can use some Collegiate 4-H members to help Monitor stations – Cheese ID, milk flavor, problem solving, milk fat content, ice cream – instructions will be provided</p><p>Ice Skating: Friday, January 30th 7:00-10:00pm</p><p> www.four-h.purdue.edu/collegiate4h $5 a person plus $3 to rent skates</p><p> Dues paying members’ skates will be paid for by the club</p><p> Friends are welcome, but will have to pay for their own skates and entry fee</p><p>Dues: $10 a semester/$15 a year</p><p>Important Dates Hot Chocolate Social-Wednesday, January 21st from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Krannert Lobby</p><p> Next Club Meeting – Thursday, January 29th , 2014, 6 pm, WSLR 116 Officer Training- Thursday, January 29th 5:30pm –Jasper County Dairy Foods and Meats Career Development Event- Saturday, January 31st</p><p>Tentative Fun Activities Friday, January 30th 7:00-10:00pm</p><p> o Ice Skating</p><p> Thursday, February 19th time TBD</p><p> o Deliver Valentine’s Day cards to the elderly</p><p> o Bingo night at nursing home</p><p> Thursday, March 26th After Meeting </p><p> o No meeting activity ACTIVITY: will go bowling after the meeting</p><p>. Will approach ACT to see if they would like to join us for bowling after the meeting</p><p>.
