<p> BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY POSITION DESCRIPTION</p><p>Title: Marketing and PR Internship Department/Location: Admin Office Reports To: Marketing Director Exempt/Non-Exempt: Unpaid</p><p>Primary Function: The Marketing Intern will provide assistance to the Marketing Director in the dissemination of material, including, but not limited to, social media sites, flyers, press junkets, etc. Additionally, coordinate with vendors, Clubs, and staff to help execute planned marketing campaigns. Provide day-to-day assistance to the Marketing Director</p><p>Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities):  Assist in the creation of signage, e-mail campaigns, on-line promotion, newsletters, direct mail, invitations, and other collateral materials</p><p> Assist in the creation of news stories about the organization and pitch stories to the media</p><p> Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials</p><p> Assist with the preparation and delivery of fundraising and corporate branding materials</p><p> Perform analysis of marketing data</p><p> Enter contact information into contact management systems</p><p> Provide support to social media efforts</p><p> Assist with social media engagement by helping manage social channels</p><p> Drafting and editing copy for social channels</p><p> Monitoring social media web analytics on a weekly basis (e.g. page views, twitter followers), and provide reports of growth and other activity.</p><p> Maintain tracking report of public relations activity</p><p> Assist in writing and distributing press releases and media alerts</p><p> Brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns</p><p> Researching industry-specific sites (blogs, forums, etc) for reviews, customer comments, and other relevant marketing information. </p><p> Monitor news alerts inclusive of competition</p><p> Maintaining marketing files</p><p>Skills & Knowledge Required: • A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, or related. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, research, and time management skills  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Grace under pressure and good judgment in sensitive situations • Mastery of Microsoft Office, social media sites, and web development. Knowledge of graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design</p>
