<p>Atomic Theory and Modeling Due Monday, 09/17</p><p>You are going to make a timeline of the history of atom. The timeline needs to include all of the following: 1) Order of discovery or theory of the atom (how it changed throughout time). 2) List of scientists that contributed to the discovery/theory of the atom (in order). 3) At least 8 of the following scientists. You must include those scientists that are in bold. John Dalton, Marie Curie, J.J. Thomson, Niels Bohr, Louis Victor deBroglie, James Chadwick, Ernest Rutherford, Erwin Schrodinger, Robert Millikan, Democritus (of Adbera), William Thomson (Lord Kelvin). (Names/scientists are not listed in order here.) 4) Each scientist’s major contribution to the theory of the atom, approximate date(s) of their contribution, and how he/she arrived at their conclusion (experiment, etc.). This should be a “caption” or “bubble” insert, describing their contribution and how they arrived at it. Be concisely detailed. 5) Photo or model of at least 5 atomic models (how it changed through time). You must include the Solid Sphere Model, Plum Pudding Model, Bohr Model, and Electron Cloud Model. 6) Each photo or model must be labeled (where appropriate) and have a “basic” explanation. 7) The Timeline must be COLORFUL and NEAT!
