<p> Diversity Team Minutes In-Service January 14, 2016</p><p>In Attendance: Dawn Nasser, Suzanna Aguirre, Isela Rangel, Al Bello, Andrew Kerins, Patrick Bayard, Stefanie Davis, Ryan Minier</p><p>1. Welcome and Introductions:  None needed. No new members. Many members occupied today.</p><p>2. “Kernels of Knowledge”:  Include Pecha Kucha about DACC. “What can DACC do for you” or a slide on each building/services. Ex: Toy Show, Ag Day, other events and services.  Everyone submit ideas to Dawn by January 21, and she can prepare the presentation  Potential music playing???  Schedule it on Wednesday, January 27th from 10-12. We need at least 4 people to help serve and pop popcorn, run the computer.  Ask Tracy W. to come and talk about Scholarships  Printed card with offices and where they are  Ask offices to give us brochures to lay out  Attach to bag: dates and deadlines/events for just Diversity events and news  Dawn make flyer and have Stacy email students  Layout: Pecha Kucha shown on the TV, set up everything else in that area of the Union</p><p>3. Pecha Kucha:  DACC presentation during Kernels of Knowledge  We need to consider doing this throughout the semester since we are on a budget freeze.  Al has agreed to submit one on Cuba. Present on Wednesday, March 9 at 1:00. Ask Ana to do one as well.  February Black History Month???? Or focus on other activities??  October Andrew on LGBTQ</p><p>4. Black History Month:  Ask Georgella to bring inventions on February 16  Ruth has displays; ask her to pull literature. Can we set up in a display case? Various building. We need to figure out where we would put the items.  Family Feud </p><p>5. Other/Open Ideas:  Pecha Kucha in Champaign at Virginia Theater February 6th at 8:20am-12:00am. What team members can go??   Dawn will email meeting time options. Please email back your respeonse so we can figure out meeting dates.</p>
