TCHS Athletic Department Welcomes a Host of New Personnel

<p>September 12, 2011</p><p>TCHS Athletic Department welcomes a host of new personnel </p><p>By: Austin Burress, Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director</p><p>Campbellsville, KY—Taylor County High School Athletic Department has recently hired eleven new coaches and welcomed back three former coaches returning back to the TCHS athletic program. </p><p>The new coaches include: Head Football Coach Eric Graves; Assistant Football Coaches Ian Hoskins, Dante Robertson, and Neil Sanders; Head Volleyball Coach Stephen Zink; Assistant Volleyball Coach Debbie Gowdy-Smith; Head Girls’ Bowling Coach Kim Hedgespeath; Assistant Girls’ Bowling Coach John Hedgespeath; Head Boys’ Bowling Coach Angie Rodgers; Assistant Boys’ Tennis Coach Grant Litton; and Head Girls’ Tennis Coach Shannon Clark. </p><p>Returning coaches are Head Girls’ Soccer Coach Jason England after a two year leave, Assistant Football Coach and Former Head Football Coach Scott Franklin after a leave of seven years, and Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach and Former Head Girls’ Basketball, Former Golf Coach, and Former Athletic Director David “Big Daddy” Parsons who returns after two years. In addition to the coaching staff, Taylor Regional Hospital has provided Taylor County High School with an Athletic Trainer, Certified (ATC), Glenn Richardson.</p><p>TCHS Athletic Director Jeff Gumm says, “We are happy to welcome all of our new staff to our athletic program. I am particularly pleased with the addition of the ATC and the return of some of our former coaches.” Returning Coach Scott Franklin says, “I am appreciative of TCHS for the opportunity to come back and coach football again. We are having a blast and are striving to make our program as competitive as possible.” New addition Eric Graves says “I am happy to be a Taylor County Cardinal. TCHS is a great place to teach and coach and I appreciate the support from the other staff and the parents.” TCHS Principal Charles Higdon, Jr. has also expressed his satisfaction with our new personnel.
