Violent video games should be sold to kids as well as adults because they teach valuable skills, teach kids about what goes on in the real world, and even teach kids about history!</p><p>Firstly, violent video games teach kids valuable skills such as teamwork, problem solving, hand-eye coordination, and decision making. A 2013 study from the popular science magazine Scientific American showed that violent video games help kids make decisions faster, and build teamwork. These skills are very useful in school and could help kids struggling in school.</p><p>Additionally, violent video games teach kids about violence and what happens in the real world. For most teens or children, learning about violence is easier through a game than hearing it on the news. Some parents would rather talk to their kids personally instead. However, games like Civilization help kids learn about violence in less of a blunt way, while having fun, and, in some cases, learning history.</p><p>Lastly, but certainly not least, many violent video games help kids learn about history. I have played the entire Assassin’s Creed series, and when we were learning about the American Revolution in school, I remembered all the dates and people from Assassin’s </p><p>Creed! I even learned a bit of French. Another great historical strategy game is </p><p>Civilization, which shows wars from different time periods. So, violent video games don’t have such a bad influence on kids after all. They can teach important skills, show what happens in the real world, and teach history.
