
<p> What’s New?</p><p>Starting November 1, 2015, the Statewide Database Licensing Program’s subscription to LearningExpress Library will offer two additional resources: Computer and Internet Basics and Job & Career Accelerator. </p><p>Computer and Internet Basics offers video tutorials on the following digital literacy topics: Getting to Know Your Computer Using Your Desktop Applications Computer Safety and Maintenance Discover the Internet Using Your Email Social Media Tools Internet Safety</p><p>All computer-oriented tutorials will be grouped in a new center called Computer Skills. This includes the new Computer & Internet Basics resources and those that were previously accessed from the Popular Software Tutorials center. Job & Career Accelerator is a tool designed to assist job seekers. Features include: Occupation Matcher – Use a questionnaire to help assess career interests Explore Occupations – Get data about wages, trends, and required skills and training for 1,000 specific occupations, and recommendations for skills improvement Job and Internship Search – Access to over 5 million job and internship postings Build Resumes and Cover Letters – Follow step-by-step instructions and review job-specific examples for creating, managing, and sending resumes and cover letters Prepare for Interviews – Review tips on pre-interview research, styles of interviews, and common interview questions Effective Follow Up – View sample letters and tips for follow-up communications, networking, and job acceptance letters</p><p>Job & Career Accelerator will appear as its own center within LearningExpress Library</p><p>Job & Career Accelerator features its own Video User Guides to provide an orientation to the tools and resources. Manage Job & Career Accelerator Resources within Your Own Dashboard Track of tasks related to seeking employment: job searches, resumes, cover letters, important tasks, and more.</p><p>Computer and Internet Basics and Job & Career Accelerator will appear as options in your LearningExpress Library subscription beginning November 1, 2015. </p><p>Questions?
