ADULT STOCKING HAT</p><p>YARN: 3/15 OR 3/12 SPORT (THE SIZE OF YOUR YARN WILL DETERMINE THE SIZE OF YOU HAT.)</p><p>TENSION 7 THROUGH 9 DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT OF THE YARN.</p><p>Cast on by e-wrapping 145 stitches every other needle from 72—0----73. Knit 1 row (if you have your weaving levers in work you don’t need to hang a comb unless you want to) most machines I have tried will do this. </p><p>Knit to row 170 and begin a 60 row pattern. When pattern is finished, hang hem over Every Other Needle. </p><p>Row counter is now 230. Knit 10 row plain to row counter 240.</p><p>Transfer Eon to right and push all empty needles out of work</p><p>Tighten tension as for Mock Rib 5 tension lower then main tension.</p><p>Knit to row 250, break yarn but leave a long enough length for seaming and for the top of the hat.</p><p>Pull needles to hold and take off on a threaded double-eye transfer tool.</p><p>You may add a pom-pom to the top if you like.</p><p>Web Sites: www.customknitsmfg.com for machines and accessories. www.machineknittingmonthlyusa.net for information on Machine Knitting Monthly Magazine.</p>
