<p> Educational Technology University of Central Missouri</p><p>Professional Development Plan </p><p>The Professional Development Plan (PDP) is meant to serve as a guide for the new graduate after completion of the program. The Professional Development Plan is designed to demonstrate candidate knowledge and skills related to the five AECT standards. Candidates reflect upon each of the five standard areas, recognize their personal strengths and weaknesses, and determine how they will go about continuing their development in the near future. For the Professional Development Plan candidates write a paper with specific goals for each standard (design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation), demonstrating their understanding and applicability of the standards.</p><p>This PDP should result in a three-to-five page personal. Candidates complete and submit the worksheet below along with their narrative.</p><p>The PDP is due at the end of the program, usually after completing the internship. It should also reflect the AECT standards for educational technology and the practical performance requirements found or anticipated in the workplace. </p><p>Candidates will complete the worksheet below to begin work on the PDP. The candidate will then use those notes to prepare a three-to-five page personal professional development plan covering the areas where the candidate sees a need for continual development, spots an area of weakness, or recognizes a strength that might lead to a specialization that makes the candidate a leader in the field. There should be at least one specific objective for each of the five main domains.
