Create the New Salary Schedules to Reflect the Increase

<p> RETRO Salary Schedule Set-up Process February 2014</p><p>1 | P a g e The following process will explain how to set up your salary schedules in preparation for processing a Retro.</p><p>Example 1: Your District has finished negotiations and have agreed to a 2% retro for all bargaining units effective immediately, going back to 7/1/2013.</p><p>Create the new salary schedules to reflect the increase. 1. Go to HR/Payroll-Setup-Assignment-Salary Schedules 2. Select the Salary Schedule you would like to change/update to reflect the 2% increase. 3. End the current Salary Schedule with the last payroll run (eg. 2/28/14)</p><p>4. Copy the Salary Schedule with the same exact name. Note: The Begin Date should be 3/1/14 5. Enter the Override Date: 7/1/2013 6. Make sure that Retro (Section 2) is marked to “YES” 7. Confirm that your Cell Rounding is correct 8. Save and Close</p><p>2 | P a g e . 9. Go to the Cell Tab a. Go to the Task Bar b. Select Mass Change Cell Amount b.i.1. Apply Changes to Actuals b.i.2. Cell Amt %: Type 2.0 b.i.3. Confirm that the Cell Amt Round is correct b.i.4. Click in the Gray area of the box b.i.5. Select Go</p><p>10. Now the Salary Rate should reflect the new amount </p><p>3 | P a g e Setting up salary schedules after Supplemental Payroll has been closed.</p><p>Example #2: Your District agrees to pay a Retro by the next regular pay period, supplemental payroll has already closed for the month. You need to set up schedules in order to have them pay on the next regular payroll. Currently this causes a problem for ESCAPE and the following steps explain the work around, allowing you to successfully fulfill your deadline. Supplemental payroll has already run, the system will not allow you to copy and create a new salary schedule with the start date of 3/1/14. Escape has provided the following workaround: WORKAROUND: 1. Copy the new salary schedule 2. Change the Begin Date of the copied salary schedule to be 4/01/2014 3. Save/Close 4. Reopen the copied salary schedule 5. Do the task to Mass Change Cell amounts - Apply changes to Actuals</p><p>4 | P a g e - Enter Cell Amt % - click out of the box and Select Go 6. Go back change the Begin Date to 03/01/2014 7. Enter the Override Date: 7/1/13 8. Change the Retro to "Yes" 9. Save/Close CR#9878</p><p>5 | P a g e</p>
