<p> Graphics Files Supplied by Wiley’s New York Higher Education Photo/Illustration Department A different filenaming convention is used by the Higher Education Photo/Illustration Department in our New York office. Artwork for titles published by the Higher Education Division is often prepared prior to the complete manuscript being available. As a consequence, the sequence in which the artwork will appear in the publication is not known, so our standard filenaming convention cannot be adopted. Instead, if you process titles from our Higher Education Division the following convention will be used. Please advise if supplied files are not named following our specifications as detailed below.</p><p>FOR NEW YORK HIGHER EDUCATION TITLES ONLY Content Filename . Extn Associated object 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 . 9 10 11 Photo p n n n n - y/n . a a a Line art w n n n n - y/n . a a a Composite piece (e.g. photo with labels) w n n n n - y/n c . a a a Compset illustration t n n n n - y/n . a a a Compset composite piece t n n n n - y/n c Icon i n n n n - y/n . a a a Master Art m n n n n - y/n . a a a RGB r n n n n - y/n . a a a</p><p>Notes: Position 1 fixed alpha character, p for photo, w for line art and composite piece, t for compset illustration and compset composite, i for icon, m for master art, r for RGB Positions 2-5 nnnn, where nnnn represents the sequential number 0001–9999 that is given to the associated object (leading zeros will be included) Position 6 the default character is hyphen (-). If a new associated object is added after the sequential number sequence is assigned the hyphen should be replaced with an alpha character, a, b, c, etc. Position 7 y indicates permission required to use the figure, n indicates permission not required, (i.e. figure is royalty-free) Position 8 c represents composite Extension .aaa, where aaa is the standard 3-letter file extension for the file type used.</p><p>The icons and master art should be stored in the genimage directory. Any other associated objects which are used in individual chapters, parts, frontmatter, and/or backmatter, should be stored in the appropriate directory.</p>
