<p>1st October 2015</p><p>Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s)</p><p>Kneehigh presents ‘Rebecca’ at the Playhouse, Oxford</p><p>On Thursday 19th November I am planning to take Year 12 and 13 Drama and Theatre Studies to see ‘Rebecca’ at the Playhouse, Oxford. Kneehigh is one of the world’s most celebrated theatre companies and their international hits include ‘Brief Encounter’ and ‘The Wilde Bride’. Award winning director, Emma Rice, has created a spellbinding new production of Daphne du Maurier’s masterpiece which conjures Cornish romance and theatrical magic.</p><p>As part of your son/daughter’s AS/A2 course they are required to see as much and as varied theatre as possible and this is an absolutely ideal opportunity for them to experience something different. For AS, students may well want to use elements of this production in their summer examination as they need to write about live performances that they have seen as this is 30% of their final grade.</p><p>We will be travelling by the school mini-bus, leaving school at 5.30pm and returning at 11.15pm (approximately). The price of the trip is £24.00 and includes theatre ticket, transport and all necessary insurance. If you would like your son/daughter to attend, please complete the form below, the consent form and return to the money collection point in the Exams Office between 9.05am 8.45am and 9.05am.
