<p> ENTREPRENEURSHIP</p><p>Instructor Information:</p><p>Instructor: Ms. Valentin Email: [email protected] School Phone: (618) 566-8523 Ext. 5602 Schedule: Hour Course Location 1st Hour: Computer Technology Essentials Room 211 2nd Hour: Computer Technology Essentials Room 211 rd Prerequisite: 3 Hour: Accounting 1 Room 211 None 4th Hour: Prep Room 211 This course is 5th Hour: Advisory/Lunch Room 211 designed to introduce 6th Hour: Entrepreneurship Room 211 students to functions and 7thHour: Computer Technology Essentials Room 211 roles of businesses in our economic system. It will also prepare students for a more meaningful and beneficial interaction with businesses as a worker, citizen, and consumer. </p><p>Students will learn about the different types of businesses and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Students will take a look into the workings of real entrepreneurs and their business plans, gaining some valuable real life experience. </p><p>For additional information on this course, please refer to the Mascoutah High School Course Catalog 2016-2017. </p><p>Required Materials: 1) 3-ring binder or folder to be used for this class ONLY  This will accumulate all work completed throughout the semester  Students are responsible for keeping all work organized within the binder, as this may be graded periodically. 2) Pens and Pencils 3) Notebook paper (for note taking and quizzes)</p><p>Course content includes but is not limited to :  Entrepreneurial Careers  Creating a business plan  Ethics and Social Responsibility  Local and Global Opportunities  Market Research  Business Ownership</p><p>Course Expectations:  Students are to respect the instructor, themselves, and their peers.  Students are responsible for contacting the teacher for make up work.  Assignments must be completed and turned in on time.  All students are expected to be prepared and on time to each class.
