<p> LSCB JOINT TRAINING</p><p>Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) are statutory partnerships that have been set up to improve the effectiveness of working between agencies that protect children and young people. There is a LSCB established in each authority in Wales and the boards in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen have established a joint training sub group to coordinate safeguarding training across the five authorities. LEVEL 2 SAFEGUARDING TRAINING Topic: Recognition & Referral to Case Conference</p><p>A one and half day Training Event (9.15 - 4pm first day 9.15 - 1pm second day)</p><p>This course is suitable for all practitioners that work with children and young people BUT it is more specific for Child Protection Leads in relevant organisations or practitioners that work predominately in the child protection arena</p><p>You will need to have completed a basic Level 1 training course previously.</p><p>Aims: To develop practitioner’s knowledge of the child protection / safeguarding referral process and promote effective communication and recognition of professionals’ roles and responsibilities.</p><p>Objectives: To understand</p><p>*What is Child Abuse?
