<p> BHEL EXCEL AWARDS 2016-17 – A Snapshot</p><p> st BHEL Excel Awards were instituted on 1 January 2001. The objective of the BHEL Excel Awards scheme is to recognize, reward and place on record any direct or indirect outstanding contribution by the employees towards growth and profitability of the company. A well-defined set of criteria for each category of award focusing on essential attributes and results thereof, helps in maintaining the objectivity and fairness of the scheme. The BHEL Excel Awards Scheme has been benchmarked with CPSEs and Private Sector companies. Major Changes incorporated in Revised Excel Award Scheme Description Major Changes Registration Process  % contribution of each team member could be minimum 12.5% to maximum 50%.  Threshold (IMPRESS Score > 60) defined for Utkrishthta, Anusandhan and Utpadakta Pursakar  Team to provide justification for suitability of the project against each parameter of Excel Award Recommendation by  The best 2 entries or 20% of total entries (whichever is higher) under Unit Head each category Recommendation by  The best two or three (if third entry is equally meritorious) entries Corp. Committee under each category will be recommended to the Jury Review by Jury  Provision made for presentation to the Jury by team through Video Conference Reward &  Appreciation letter from Chairman Unit Level Committee to entries Recognition not recommended by Unit Head  Projects recommended by Unit Head but not forwarded by Corporate Screening Committee to be awarded Rs. 10,000/- & Certificate by Unit/ Region/ Division Head  Projects recommended by Corporate Screening Committee but not winning Excel Award to be awarded Rs. 25,000/- & Certificate signed by Director (E,R&D)  Individual Excel Award Winner: Cash award limit enhanced from Rs. 50000/- to Rs. 75,000/- (not below Rs. 10,000/-) for each awardee.  There is no change in the maximum award amount of Rs. 250000/- for the Excel Award for the team. Horizontal  Corporate Screening Committee will identify areas for horizontal Deployment of deployment of awarded works across the company (wherever Awarded work applicable).
