The respective clubs will be contacted by ODC informing them of our selection of Officials to each of the competitions. I would strongly urge you to contact the host club of the meet you have been appointed to officiate. It is important that if for any reason you are unable to preside at the competition you have been appointed to, that you contact BCSSA ODC ASAP so that we can find a suitable replacement. Please go to the SSC website to download your PDF copy of the revised rules (Redbook).The ISU green book is now on line as a downloadable PDF(no charge) on the ISU website. There have been changes in the rules this year as per ISU. Please make sure you are familiar with them. I would encourage you to visit the BCSSA website for rule updates, official’s reports and the HPC competition bulletins. Please contact BCSSA ODC if you need clarification.</p><p>Funding: In order to get the most funds to our officials we will be operating on a tight budget this year. If flying, we ask that you make your own arrangements as early as possible to take advantage of any possible seat sales. We will be paying your gas to the competition or airfare whichever is less. ODC will pay up to $45 per day per diem. Please keep all your accommodation, airfare and or gas receipts and submit them to BCSSA ODC unless you are the chief and then your accommodation and meal expenses must be </p><p>Updated Oct 2014 Page 4 British Columbia Speed Skating Association P. All officials must fill out a BCSSA ODC claim form if claiming expenses. http://www.speed-skating.bc.ca/officials/officials- resources/ This is in keeping with SSC ODC policy and is good training for our provincial referees for reimbursement of expenses. Please Note: The online chief referee report must also be done before any receipts will be paid out. </p><p>Please Note: Chief starter and chief referee: your hotel and meals costs are the responsibility of the hosting club.
