The water lines have been repaired, and lab test results received today show the city’s tap water meets federal drinking water standards.</p><p>The advisory was issued Tuesday after a water line broke, causing a loss of water pressure. City crews shut down part of the water system in order to find the break and begin repairs. Loss of water pressure increases the risk that contaminated water could be drawn–in to the system.</p><p>This advisory affected nearly 400 homes and businesses served by the city water system, and involved several school closures. The state Department of Health worked closely with the city and local health officials throughout the incident.</p><p>Customers who have questions may contact the City of Toledo at 360-864-4564.</p><p>###</p>
