<p>Minutes from the Oct 19, 2010 Meeting of the Overbrook Farms Club Board</p><p>Meeting called to order by, Kevin Maurer, President. </p><p>In Attendance: Kevin Maurer; Michael Lemley; Scott Martizer; Melanie Ellison Roach; Sharon Curtis; David Cleghorn; Nancy Callan; Sue Carmody; Stephanie Kindt; Paul Winter; Adjoa Love-Dorsey; Thomas Fitzpatrick</p><p>Excused: Wes LaBlanc</p><p>Absent: Keven Parker; Denton Clark; Victoria Wilson;</p><p>Guests: none.</p><p>Minutes: The Minutes from the September Meeting were approved.</p><p>Introductions None.</p><p>Presidents Report: 1. Community planning a. 6359 Sherwood – postponed until November because there were no plans. b. Overbrook Arts and Agricultural Center at 6136 Lancaster Ave - funding through Penn state to build a greenhouse. Consensus is that board is in favor of greenhouse. OFC on record as supporting (letter sent and in archives). c. New Zoning regulations – Nancy, Stephanie and Kevin reviewing. Kevin attended a meeting with the planning commission. Our zoning overlay has remained intact for the 63rd Street commercial corridor. Much of the changes appear to be related to center city and don’t impact us directly. Stephanie expressed concern over the administrative rules (section 200). d. Luxury Condominiums to go up in the Palmer Easter Baptist building. Kevin mentioned to see if anyone else had heard any more. e. SJU, Town and Gown meeting has been re-instated. Represented by Wynnewood Association and OFC. Also present: DA, Lieutenant from State police (alcohol enforcement). Topics of discussion: a) orientation info for new students; b) information to SJU student housing in neighborhoods; c) student parking in the neighborhood restriction enforcement discussed; d) Halloween plan; e) 6308 Sherwood drug trafficking was discussed; f) over 160 arrests for underage drinking; g) crimes against students (attacks) – SJU looking into improving street lighting in several areas including east side of Overbrook Farms (architectural style lighting). Follow-up meeting in early December. 2. Foundation Report: a. none</p><p>Schedule of Upcoming Events: 10/21/10 Fall OFC meeting 10/27/10 PSA1 at Lady of Lourdes, Wed 6:00 pm 11/16/10 November board meeting 11/22/10 PSA1 at Lady of Lourdes, Mon 6:00 pm No PSA1 meeting in December 12/14/10 December board meeting, location TBD. Treasurers’ Report: a. no report. Newsletter Committee: a. Planning to be out end of October. Farmers Market: a. Nancy reported on market – year has been very successful and consistent. Food trust program on vouchers has been successful. Several vendors: Eden gardens; vegetable vender; Forest View bakery; goat farm; beef farm; nursery-flowers and fall vegetables; tea cart. Open through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Property Committee: a. No report from Denton (absent). b. Letter to real estate agents presented by Stephanie. Letter was discussed in addition to agencies to receive the letter. Nominating Committee: a. no openings to fill. Beautification Committee: a. Scott Maritzer b. Order has been made for the banners. House Tour: a. Nancy – 10/27 first meeting for 2011 spring tour - meeting at the Village. Leaning toward 3rd Sunday in May. Looking for more members for the planning committee. Town Watch: a. Need substitute 10/27 – Sue to represent OFC. b. New lieutenant to represent PSA1 - Lt. Hanesroth c. Can drive – will send email to club asking for donations. Marketing Committee: a. Plan to present at October annual meeting (Melanie and Victoria to present). Old Business: a. Traffic study – Stephanie requested a portion of the October membership meeting be provided for presentation. b. Presented by Sue - Bill from Overbook Pizza wants to know the time limit for not selling pizza by Mediterranean Grill. Letter states that Mediterranean Grill may never sell pizza. Discussion on intent of letter and renewal of use certificate. Major issue of letter was to redo the exhaust – exhaust requirement was never complied with. OFC has no intent to go after Mediterranean Grill. However, Bill may do so. New Business: a. Kevin visited Curtis Jones’s new District office opening, next to Pinn Memorial Baptist on Wynnefield Ave. There is something that he is the co-sponsor of to make a change to the educational housing district – rental license can be revoked if renting to more than allowed. b. Santa in the Park – 12/4/2010, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. i. Sue offered to help day of the event and contact Jeff about re- volunteering.</p><p>Submitted by Michael Lemley</p>
