<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE </p><p>OLYMPIC RIDER CARL BOUCKAERT DONATES $5,000 TO OLD FRIENDS</p><p>Fairburn, GA. - February 24, 2015 – Carl Bouckaert, Chairman of the Georgia Horse Coalition and owner of Chattahoochee Hills Bouckaert Farm, has made a generous donation of $5,000 to Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement Facility in Georgetown, KY.</p><p>Bouckaert is a two-time Olympic rider in the discipline of eventing. His Chattahoochee Hills Bouckaert Farm is an 8,000-acre facility that has hosted many of Georgia’s finest eventing competitions, including the Chattahoochee Hills Country International Horse Trials and the USEF/USEA 2010-2012 American Eventing Championships. </p><p>The farm is also home to TomorrowWorld, one of the largest electronic dance-music festivals in North America. </p><p>“I learned about Old Friends last year when the Georgia Horse Racing Coalition worked with them on issues of local Thoroughbred aftercare,” said Bouckaert, who is also a partner in Chattahoochee Hills Thoroughbred Racing, which owns a fractional interest in a several racehorses. “I started following their incredible work and seeing their incredible passion for these animals, and the more I read, the more I came to realize their need for support from equestrians like myself.</p><p>“It’s wonderful to see great old racehorses like [Kentucky Derby winner] Silver Charm and [multiple Grade 1 winner] Game on Dude spending the rest of their days in a loving environment,” Bouckaert added.</p><p>“We are grateful to Carl and can’t thank him enough for this generous donation,” said Michael Blowen, president and founder of Old Friends.
