Introduction</p><p>The purpose of the Feasibility Study is to define exactly what the project is and what strategic, economic, technical, operational and planning issues need to be considered to assess its likelihood of succeeding.</p><p>1.1. Problem Identification</p><p>What is the problem?</p><p>1.2. Opportunities</p><p>What are the opportunities available to the company that could be realised?</p><p>1.3. Mandates</p><p>Are there any mandates (statutory or managerial) that would require this task to be done, regardless of priority and feasibility.</p><p>2. Success Factors</p><p>Describe what would have to be achieved in order for this project to be considered a success. Consider what must be done, who would be responsible for doing it and by when must each be done. The sanity check for each is that the tasks are achievable, acceptable, and logical.</p><p>3. Current Situation</p><p>Explain what the current situation is that requires this work to be done. This could include a snapshot of the customer’s organisation, their work processes, products and clients relating to the problem identified in Section 1.</p><p>4. Benefits</p><p>Estimate the benefits that would be realised by solving the problem.</p><p>4.1. Intangible Benefits</p><p>Describe any increased control, improved morale, improved communication processes or any other advantage that would be gained from this approach.</p><p>5. Alternative Solutions</p><p>Document viable alternative solutions based on their advantages and disadvantages in terms of strategic, economic, technical, operational and planning issues.
