<p> Roman & Janet Brunner Memorial Scholarship – Student Application Criteria for consideration for a $250 scholarship from the Roman & Janet Brunner Memorial Scholarship Fund: The applicant must: 1. Be a graduating senior at Pulaski High School who is currently in band. 2. Be a full-time student in fall 2015 majoring in Instrumental Music Education at a College or University. See Information Sheet for specific payments.</p><p>3. Provide recommendation letters from three people - one of whom must be Mr. Busch. See Information Sheet attached for specifics about letters. </p><p>4. Mail completed application form and letters of recommendation, no later than April 15, 2016 to: Mary Brunner, 135 E Green Bay St., Pulaski, WI 54162. See Information Sheet for more specific information. 5. Late and/or incomplete applications WILL NOT be accepted. Retype each of the following. Then type your answer below the question. 1. List your music activities and achievements (offices held, solo & ensemble awards, etc.) while attending PHS.</p><p>2. List your musical activities outside of PHS.</p><p>3. List all non-musical activities that you participated in while attending high school (sports, clubs, offices held, etc.).</p><p>4. List your G.P.A. and other scholastic achievements (honor roll, NHS,etc.)</p><p>5. In a short paragraph, briefly describe your educational and career goals.</p><p>6. In a short paragraph, explain why you feel qualified to receive this scholarship. 7. Essay Question: In 500 words or less, explain how the Pulaski Band program has helped you to develop as an individual? Specifically discuss the role it has played in your future plans.</p><p>Roman & Janet Brunner Memorial Scholarship – Information Sheet</p><p>Requirements for Recommendation Letters</p><p> Applicants must provide three recommendation letters. One must be from the high school band director, Mr. Tom Busch. The other two may be from other adults who can attest to the success of this student in a post-secondary setting, such as current teachers, coaches, advisors, club leaders.</p><p> Topics that should be included in the recommendation letter are as follows. -Likelihood of this student’s success in a college setting and completing the instrumental music education program</p><p>-Information about his/her academic success and habits -Involvement in extracurricular offerings during high school, especially band in Mr. Busch’s letter</p><p>-Why you feel this student deserves to receive this scholarship -Any examples of the student’s integrity, character, and leadership</p><p>What the selected recipient needs to do to receive scholarship money: The financial award for the scholarship will be made to the recipient in January 2016. The award will be mailed directly to the student upon submission of satisfactory first semester grades from a college or university as well as re-enrollment verification for the following spring semester as a major in Instrumental Music Education.
