Jaques</p><p>2 DELAWARE STATE SENATE 148th GENERAL ASSEMBLY 3 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 56 4</p><p>EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE EDUCATION FUNDING IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION. 5</p><p>6 7 WHEREAS, the Education Funding Improvement Commission to review and make recommendations to </p><p>8 modernize and improve Delaware’s system for funding public education was established under Senate Joint Resolution No.</p><p>9 4 of the 148th General Assembly to conduct a comprehensive review of Delaware’s public education funding system and </p><p>10 make recommendations to modernize and strengthen the system; and</p><p>11 WHEREAS, the Commission was directed to submit its findings and recommendations report to the President Pro </p><p>12 Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later than March 31, 2016; and </p><p>13 WHEREAS, the Commission has worked diligently on its study, but is not yet prepared to submit its report; and</p><p>14 WHEREAS, the members of the Commission believe that they will be able to submit the report by June 30, 2016;</p><p>15 NOW, THEREFORE:</p><p>16 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 148th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House concurring </p><p>17 therein, that the date by which the findings and recommendations report of the Education Funding Improvement </p><p>18 Commission to review and make recommendations to modernize and improve Delaware’s system for funding public </p><p>19 education is due be extended to June 30, 2016. </p><p>20 SYNOPSIS This resolution extends the due date of the findings and recommendations report of the Education Funding Improvement Commission from March 31, 2016 to June 30, 2016. 21 Author: Senator Sokola</p><p>Page 1 of 1 SD : TGW : sdm 4681480054</p><p>Mar 24, 2016</p>
