<p>Edinburgh Short Film Festival/MMBF Script Pitch 2016 - Rules & Regulations</p><p>Open for submissions of short film screenplays, for environmental reasons only electronic submissions are accepted.</p><p>Maximum length 5 pages (5 minute scripts), all genres welcomed.</p><p>All scripts must be properly formatted to industry standards, any entry not formatted appropriately will be disqualified and submitted in Word Doc format.</p><p>(We have supplied links below to free script formatting software)</p><p>Scripts can be submitted by individual screenwriters only, no joint submissions or teams of writers.</p><p>The Deadline for submissions will be August 5th 2016.</p><p>A separate entry form is required for each submission.</p><p>Only original screenplays will be eligible for submission, no adaptations allowed.</p><p>All entrants will be advised if their script has been selected for the final which will be held on Sunday October 30th at Summerhall at 2pm.</p><p>The submitter must have the legal authority to submit the screenplay and to have the work screened publicly including any necessary permissions. </p><p>If a script is optioned or purchased before or during the competition, then it is not eligible. Submission Fee of £5 payable per entry via the Script Pitch Submissions Page. By submitting their script all entrants are deemed to have read and agreed the rules and regulations governing the festival. In the event of any disagreement, the interpretation of the festival will take precedence.</p><p>These rules and regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
