<p> LOYOLA-VIETNAM IMMERSION TRIP, 2008 ITINERARY</p><p>June 2-3 Fly, Chicago- Tokyo Narita Airport, All Nippon Airways, Flight NH 0011, depart 10:50am. Fly Tokyo-Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Son Nhat Airport, 6:35pm (June 3), Flight NH 0931. Arrive in Vietnam 11:00pm. We will take a motor coach to the hotel (May Hotel, 28-30 Thi Sach St., District 1), the group will have a light meal before sleeping. June 4 Motor coach to Tan Son Nhat Airport, fly Vietnam Airlines Flight 252, 11:30am to Hue’s Phu Bai Airport, Motor coach to hotel (Asia Hotel, 17 Pham Ngu Lao), check in, light lunch followed by guided tour of the Citadel, including Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh Mang Tomb, Imperial City, Palace of Supreme Harmony. June 5 Visit La Vang Basilica, Vietnamese Marian shrine. Meet Bishop of Hue. Group meeting before common dinner and evening cruise on the Perfume River. Overnight in Hue. June 6 Motor coach travel to Danang. Visit Agent Orange orphanage. Cross Marble Mountains to Hoi An. Check into Hoi An Hotel, 10 Tran Hung Dao. June 7 Early morning start with guide fifty kilometers to My Son World Heritage site, Asia’s longest occupied cultural site. Return to Hoi An, freshen-up at hotel, and then motor coach 2.5 hours on Highway 1, past Chu Lai, former U.S. Marine base to My Lai memorial and museum. Overnight at Hoi An Hotel. June 8 Motor coach to Tra Kieu Village, former Cham capital and Catholic shrine site and then on to Danang for afternoon flight via Vietnamese Airlines Flight 325, 6:10pm to Ho Chi Minh City. Check into May Hotel, 28-30 Thi Sach St. Dinner in HCMC. June 9 Full day visit to Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Holy See, Tay Ninh Province. Lunch in Tay Ninh Return to HCMC for dinner. June 10 10am meeting with Kenneth Fairfax, U.S. Consul General, Ho Chi Minh City; meetings w/Ministry of Education and Training; Vietnamese Economics University. Visit Traditional House of Culture and Faith. June 11-12 Day free for shopping or visiting sites. Motor coach to airport, 9:00pm, All Nippon Airways Flight 0932 to Tokyo, 11:55pm., arrive Narita Airport, 7:45am, Thursday, June 12. Depart All Nippon Flight NH 0012, 10:45am arrive Chicago’s O’Hare, Terminal 5, 8:20am. </p>
