<p>YEAR GROUP: 3</p><p>TERM: 2</p><p>CREATIVE CURRICULUM TOPIC: BRITISH LIFE & CULTURE</p><p>Subject National Curriculum links Outcomes/focus Forces and Magnets  Compare how things move on different surfaces  Notice that some forces need contact between two objects, but magnetic forces can act at a distance  Observe how magnets attract or repel each other and attract some materials and not others  Compare and group together a variety of everyday materials on the Science basis of whether they are attracted to a magnet, and identify some magnetic materials  Describe magnets as having two poles  Predict whether two magnets will attract or repel each other, depending on which poles are facing.  HISTORY OF GB History History of GB  Significant turning point of British history – Industrial revolution Location knowledge  Name and locate counties and cities of the United Kingdom, geographical Geography regions and their identifying human and physical characteristics  Understand how some of these aspects have changed over time</p><p>DT NO DT To improve their mastery of Art and  To create sketch books to record their observations and use them to review and revisit ideas. Design techniques sculpture and Art  to improve their mastery of art and design techniques, including architects (Henry Moore) sculpture with a range of materials  Learn about great artist/sculpture (Henry Moore)</p><p>Develop an understanding of the history  Appreciate and understand a wide range of high-quality live and recorded music drawn from different traditions and from great Music of British history of music composers and musicians- Folk music  Develop an understanding of the history of music.</p><p>Research and presentation  I can use search technologies effectively.  I can appreciate how results are selected and ranked  I can be discerning in evaluating digital content.  I can select, use and combine a variety of software on a range of digital ICT devices.  I can design and create a range of programs, systems and content that accomplish given goals, including collecting, analysing, evaluating and presenting data and information.
