Emphasis on computer power supplies, memory devices, disk drives and internal support circuitry. </p><p>Note, this class is a hybrid class requiring addition lab work to be performed on a home PC, DVD, Printer, Internet access</p><p>Course Objectives:</p><p>1. Expose students to hardware troubleshooting procedures 2. Demonstrate the proper safety procedures used when working on computers 3. Cover the specific areas as outlined in the CompTIA Core competency exam 4. Introduce advanced troubleshooting techniques</p><p>Topical Outline: 1. Computer operation *. Students are expected to complete assignments by the due dates, handed in assignments are to be typed. Attendance and class participation is an integral part of the overall grade. 10 Points will be deducted for any work submitted late.</p><p>Make-up Policy: The mid term and final exams are shown on the schedule; if you are unable to attend you must notify me before class to arrange a makeup exam.
